Digitally Mediated Teaching & Learning in Art Education

How do you feel about the digital world? How do you use the internet as an educator? If you're like me, then the internet is your best friend when it comes to planning and preparing lessons and materials. Since beginning my masters course on Digitally Mediated Teaching & Learning I've been able to put a name to the resources I've used and curated as an educator. Have you heard of a PLE? What about an OER? I hadn't either, but I learned that I use these very important tools almost daily!

Check out my latest video on Digitally Mediated Teaching & Learning and how you can use these tools in your professional career!

As said by Rutherford, S. (2014) “collaborative activity between students is a key tool in enhancing engagement, a sense of partnership and a sense of ownership of their learning.” As educators, we are still students of our content area, constantly changing and learning with the developing content. So, how will you contribute to your educational community, both online and in the physical world? How do you connect with your community? Do you contribute OERs to the Art Education community?

Let me know in the comments!
